Erm... first of all, chinese new year is coming. Have you bought your clothes, bags or shoes? Let's see erm... I bought 2 T-shirts, 2 jeans and a pair of shoe. For some reason, I realise that the shoe I bought was a display set. I can't exchange for a new one because it's the last pair left and it's the only size available. Coincidentally, the size of that display set fit my feet. So I was like okay... it's alright. I told my mum about it and I expect her reaction to be like 'huh?' but she didn't. She surprised me by saying that it's better. Since people have already tried the shoe before, I won't have any blister. LOLOL.
I asked my friend to buy TOTO because yesterday there was a special event. So both of us bought $5 each. I did not win anything but my friend strike 4 numbers. Maybe that's what you call beginners luck. I have never strike TOTO in my life. I started buying 4D first when I was young and because of beginners luck, I won $10. :D It's been a long long time since I last strike any prize. Sigh..
Oh ya.. talking about gambling, the 2 casinos in Singapore have found fake chips which they are investigating who did it. Sometimes I really wonder.... is the opening of the 2 casinos a good or a bad thing? It's not something that I can change or control over. But seriously, the casinos are causing us a lot of trouble.
The government have been arresting people who gamble illegally at a gambling den. They discourage gambling. Then the stupid thing is that the casinos promote gambling and it's exactly the same as gambling illegally. Just that casino is legal.
I have a question which I have been thinking for the past few days. I didn't realise it until yesterday. I don't know if this is also the same in other country but I realise that bus drivers do not have a seat belt. Why? Traffic police have been promoting safety campaigns. Please drive safely, please do not drink and drive, please wear your seat belt etc. So by default, bus drivers should also wear a seat belt. I asked my friend why and he said that it's because bus travel at a slow speed. So they don't require a seat belt. SBS bus in Singapore have a speed limit of 60 km/h. Van and lorry also have a speed limit of 60km/h. So if there is a seat belt for van and lorry, I don't see why bus is so special. We cannot assume that the bus driver will be safe since they drive at a slow speed. Accidents do happen. There is no airbag or seat belt to save them at all.
I searched the question on google but no one can explain it. The debate goes on and on but no actions are taken. We must bear in mind that speed is not the only factor that leads to fatal accident.
Lastly, let's talk about the word 'assume'. We assume things because there is a high chance of occurring. When we see dark clouds, we will bring an umbrella knowing that it will rain soon. However, it's just that we are assuming that it will rain. It may not necessarily rain even though there are dark clouds.
Yawn... I shall continue this topic in the future. LOL. Too tired.
*continue* So problem arises when we assume the wrong thing. We assume things because there is a high chance of occurrence.
For example, we assume that we will be safe from lightning strike as long as we stay indoor. But take a look at this article.
worlds-unluckiest-man-struck-by-lightning-inside-home/
As long as the probability of occurrence is not 0, we cannot say that it will not happen.
Hmm... I woke up this morning and saw a message received on my phone. It's my father and I was pretty shocked. He asked if I am free to come out at 11am today and I told him that I am not free because I have lessons in school. So he asked me what about this afternoon and I rejected him because my lesson end at 4pm. He didn't reply after that. I am confused..... and my heart hurts. I don't know what to do. Even though my parents are divorced, he's still my father after all. But I just can't forgive him.....not for the things that he have done to hurt mum. But because I have evidence to show that he's with another woman right now. I didn't tell my mother about this. Maybe she wouldn't even care about him even if I tell her that dad is dead. But I am seriously too disappointed in my father. He swore to me that he doesn't have a woman outside. And I don't know since when did this happen..... all I know is that my mum has reached her limit. I won't let anything hurt her anymore.......because the truth hurts.
Sigh... why do people cheat? I don't know. I cheated before but fortunately, my conscience woke me up. There are lots of weird things that we humans do without knowing why. A perfect example would be someone who smoke. Smokers know that smoking is bad for health. They also know that it's expensive to buy 1 packet of cigarette. But if you were to ask them why are they still smoking despite the cost and disadvantages, they themselves won't know why. Smokers can tell you a million times that they will quit. But in the end? You know the answer.
It takes a special and strong mindset to overcome those weird problems. Not that it's impossible.
Look at the sky.... and you will see hope.

Too busy to blog nowadays. LOL.... lots of work to be done. Went outside of school to have my lunch today. I ordered a bowl of dried noodle but the owner gave me a bowl of noodle soup instead. Well, I was pretty unhappy at first. But since it's already cooked, it's alright.
Erm... I have never tried the soup type before so today is the first time I tried it.
Basically what I wanna say is that after trying it, I find that it's better than the dried one.
Then I suddenly realise that I have learnt something new.
Sometimes because we always do the same thing, choose the same path to walk in life, think the same way as what we used to think, we have neglected the other alternatives that we can do. Maybe if we try to do the other way that we have never did in the past, things might change positively.

Today is quite a tiring day.. lol... there's quite a number of things I wanna talk about.
Went to Toa Payoh to buy furniture with my family and I was kind of unhappy. I have been begging my mum to let me sit for class 2B motorcycle driving test but she kept rejecting me saying that it's too dangerous.... sigh..
I can't afford to buy a car even though I have a class 3 driving license now. I believe I can afford a motorbike and that's the reason why I wanna get a bike license.
Anyway, went to Liang court for our dinner at a Japanese restaurant name Tampopo. It's pretty interesting to eat there. Look at the photos below.
Soz.. the first photo features the common technology to serve sushi so that customers can take whatever sushi they want. So... you must be wondering... where are the sushi then? Yup, that's what attracted my attention. There is no sushi available at all. Maybe they are so busy that they don't have time to let them roll. LOL...
The second photo is my food. I ordered cold ramen. It's very delicious.
Talking about food, I am those type of people who are willing to pay a high price if the quality of the food is great. Food is a necessity to us. We are working so hard to earn money. Sometimes, we really have to spend the money to pamper ourselves. No matter how much we spent, we still can earn them back. But when happiness is gone, there is no way you can find it back.
Anyway, the third photo is something special. I am referring to the left yellow thing. It's added to my cold ramen. What's that? It's wasabi. Everyone know that wasabi is green in colour. But today, I saw a wasabi that is yellow in colour. How weird....
When we were walking back, I came across this street for nightlife people. haha.. it's Clarke quay. Full of pubs and clubs there. There is a club called Shanghai Dolly... it's always crowded and people have to queue to get in.
For girls, once you are 18 years old you can enter a club. But for guys, some clubs have different requirement. It can range from 18 to 23 years old. Simply because they need to attract more girls than boys.
But girls going to a club must be mentally prepared that they will get touched here and there. Sometimes without even knowing who touched you. But it's okay... girls who often go to club are not considered decent girls anyway. Nowadays girls are getting brave. They said that it's alright if a handsome guy molested them. But they will slap a guy if he is ugly.
So what am I trying to say? I am trying to say that Singaporean girls are getting more materialistic than what they used to be.

2/1/2011 happy new year
Time pass so fast... it's already 2011. Happy new year to everyone... :D A new year shall lead to a new start.
Erm.. nothing much happened recently. Went to marina bay sand to shop yesterday and I saw my secondary school teacher, Mr Adrian Tay. He looked the same....nothing's changed.
My friend is entering NS very soon. It suddenly bothers me..... how's the life like in NS? I will be graduating from my school next year and then I will have to serve NS. Sigh...
Life is pretty good after I moved house. I don't know what am I feeling now.... I have lost a father but I feel nothing.
Recently there was this report talking about a super sports car with 6 wheels. :o pretty interesting. 4 front wheels and 2 rear wheels. Will that be our future car?
Today is my best friend's birthday. His 21st birthday. People say that when you are 21 years old, you must celebrate it with everyone you know as it represents adulthood. But looking at my friend, perhaps the world has changed... he did not celebrate it at all. Sometimes I wonder... what's the future like? Will everyone die in 2012 like what they said? Will everyone face poverty? Will humans be extinct?
But then looking back, it's better not to know what's the future. If we know what will happen in the future, won't it be boring? It's just like if there is a choice, everyone will choose to be rich. But if everyone in this world were to be rich suddenly, won't it be dull and bored?
Because we cannot buy everything that we desire.. that's what make life interesting.
The poor will try their best to earn money and they fear nuts because they have nothing to lose.
The rich will be elegant and spend lots of money but they fear tons of things because they have too much to lose.
My sister intend to buy a diamond ring yesterday. Yup, it cost a bomb. But what attracted my attention is not the price. What attracted my attention is the perception of women. Women who are single always hope to marry a rich guy so that he can buy her a big diamond ring. But then we can only see this situation in the television. The truth is the probability of this happening is less than 1%. Then I realise that women will be much more independent when they are married.
Soz... what about guys? What do they depend on girls? I am still thinking about it.
Dinner time...got to go... may the luck be with you.
