29/9 13th driving lesson

Hmm... my lesson today was... sigh... disappointing.
I had an intensive training on parking today. I started off with parallel parking.... then I was like.. oh dear.. what are the things to take note when I park? I seem to forget everything as I didn't practice my parallel parking for a few weeks. So I calmed myself down and I tried to recall...

I went in the 1st try and it was considered good... that's because I didn't strike the front kerb when I reverse. I thought it was a good start. But when I was told to move out of the lot, I steered my steering wheel full lock to the right but I hit the kerb in front. :( damn sad... Mr Heng told me that I did not reverse to the very end and that's the reason why I hit the front kerb... well, I thought I did... but when I open the door to see my rear wheel, it was actually quite a distance away from the rear kerb.
So I learned one thing today. You can FEEL that the distance is near but actually, there's still lots of space.
So I kept trying and I no longer strike the kerb. :D Sigh... I am just afraid that I will strike kerb during my test date... Striking of kerb is 10 points and it's a critical one. :(

I went on to practice my vertical parking after that... that's nothing wrong with my vertical parking. I can do it very well without hitting the kerb at all. So I guess I have to master my parallel parking before I enter the circuit..
Oh.. Mr Heng said he may let me enter the circuit on my next lesson.. but it's just maybe.. not confirm yet.

Hmm... I got horned by a driver today... I am fucking pissed... seriously.. I don't understand what the hell did I do wrong? I wanted to change lane as I noticed that there are some stationary cars obstructing me in my lane. So I signaled right and I looked into my mirror to check if there are cars. I noticed a car at my 5 O'clock direction so I slowed down. I didn't even turn my steering wheel to cut in his lane.. and yet he horned at me and speed up to say that he doesn't want to give way to me. :'(
That's so rude and inconsiderate... come on, I am just a learner and you can see my L plate sign. This didn't happen to me once but twice. :@

27/9 12th driving lesson

Hmm.. it was raining today... So I spent a few minutes practicing my parking and spent the rest of the time driving around again.. hmm... my friend hasn't enter circuit yet.. so I guess I will not enter circuit that soon too. :(

Let's see erm... I played my psp for like 6 hours today and I keep losing to Vanitas at the last part where my powers became darkness. I kept trying and phew... luckily, I manage to defeat him after so many tries. He's really tough. Tougher than Master Xehanort.
Anyway, I am playing Aqua's story right now and that's the last story. haha..

Oh erm.. I have got a joke to share.
A fat guy was looking at the newspaper and he saw a slimming agency advertising that they can help people to slim down and it's guaranteed. If it doesn't work, the money will be refunded. So this guy decided to try it. He called the agency and said 'Hi, I want to order your package of losing 5kg in 5 days'.
After paying the bill via credit card, he went to sleep.
The next day, his doorbell rang and he opened the door. It was a sexy lady wearing nothing but just a pair of Adidas running shoes. On her neck, there is a sign which says 'If you can catch me, I am yours'.
Without a second thought, this fat guy chased after her.
After several minutes, he couldn't chase her anymore and he decided to give up. This happened for the next 5 days and he realised that it's true that he lost 5 kg.

He called the slimming agency again to order another package. He said 'Hi, I would like to order your package of losing 10kg in 5 days'.
 The next day, his doorbell rang and it's a sexy and cute girl wearing nothing but a pair of nike running shoes. On her neck, there is a sign saying 'If you can catch me, I am yours'.
The same thing happened... he didn't hesitate and he ran off chasing that girl. After several hours, he gave up.
The same thing happened for the next 5 days and he was so excited that he lost 10kg in 5 days.

He called the slimming agency once again to order it's explicit hardcore package which will cost him to lose 20kg in a day. The customer officer said 'Sir, are you sure you want this intensive supreme package of ours?' The fat guy replied him with a firm yes and he went to sleep.
The next day, he woke up and heard a doorbell. He was so fascinated that he rushed to open the door. To his horror, it was a muscular man wearing a pair of PINK nike running shoes.On his neck, there is a sign saying that 'If I catch you, you are MINE'. This fat guy screamed and ran as fast as he could. He did not stop even though it was torturing. Thus, on that particular day, he lost 20kg.

22/9 11th driving lesson

Hmm.. today's lesson was fun and interesting. haha.. I learned perpendicular parking. It's so much easier than parallel parking. lol. Um.. I spent 10 mins practicing my parking and it started raining. So I drove around until time's up. haha..
I beat the orange light 3 times today and I had to stop for another 2 because there's camera. haha. Hmm.. my instructor is considering buying a new car. Heard that he is trying to bid for the COE and if he succeed, he will sell away his current car. :D

I reached a junction and the light turns amber. So I thought for a few seconds whether to stop or not..... if I stop, I would have to step on my brake harshly.... but if I don't stop, I will beat the red light. So I decided not to stop and just move on. I reached the center of the junction and saw a police car on the opposite direction trying to turn right. LOL... Luckily he didn't catch me.

I am happy that I learned everything required within 11 lessons. :D I just need to learn 2 more stuff which can only be found inside the circuit. S-shaped course and crank course.

20/9 10th driving lesson

Hmm.. it's my 10th driving lesson today. I was late by 10 mins so I only had 50 mins. Nothing much happened today.. I strike the front kerb while doing my parallel parking a couple of times.. sigh... it was disappointing but I will try my best to correct my mistake.
A dog ran across the road in front of me and I had to brake so hard just for it to cross.. how pathetic that is.. haha..
Hmm... it's almost time to enter the circuit. I just need to learn the perpendicular parking and I am ready. Sigh.. it's gonna be expensive though.. :(

Went to Clarence's house and we had so much fun talking about manual cars. haha.. He is studying automobile engineering so he knows about all those stuff in a car's engine. He bought those steering wheel, the 3 pedals and the gear etc just to play racing games. lol.. that's so cool.
I played a racing game using his computer and it's pretty interesting. The game is realistic as there is a chance that your engine will stall. :D

15/9 9th driving lesson

Hmm.. went to the same public car park to practice my parallel parking today. Still had a couple of times whereby my engine stalls but now I know the secret to counter this problem.

I just bought my UMD yesterday and I am currently playing Terra's story. Shall choose Ven's story after that followed by Aqua's story. Anyone interested to play kingdom hearts birth by sleep? I can send you the game if you wish... provided you have a psp. :D

13/9 8th driving lesson

Arrived at 3pm at the same place to wait for my instructor. It was 3.05pm and he still hasn't arrived. So I called him and he asked me to wait for him at gate 2. So I waited for another 5 mins and he came. Quickly moved off as there were many cars today... Yay.... today I learned parallel parking. It was quite tough as there are lots of steps to follow. I was told to judge my position based on the white sticker on my car's door. It was pretty fun though... haha....
My engine stalled a couple of times as I over-released my clutch when I was trying to park. Silly me.... I didn't notice that I have been depressing my brake... so when I reached my biting point, my car didn't move and I thought that I can release it further... LOL...

I mount kerb today... LOL... so sorry, Mr Heng.... I hope my car's suspension isn't damaged. I was trying to turn and I over-steered..... probably because it's an extremely sharp curve so I have to engage gear 1 and negotiate the curve real slow. So my right rear wheel went up the kerb and the impact was quite big... sigh... I apologised to Mr Heng and he was very kind... he didn't scold me. :)

Hmm.. after my lesson, I went to Hougang mall to look for a psp game called Kingdom hearts birth by sleep.
I went to 2 gaming shops and they said that it's sold out.. sigh... I really wanna buy that game... so I brought my brother to my new house and I went to Heartland mall to look for the game... The same thing happened... it's out of stock... SIGH... I troubled myself to take the train to go to compass point just to find the game and yet every single gaming shop says that it's out of stock... :(
Got to go to Chinatown to try my luck tomorrow...

10/9 7th driving lesson

Had my driving lesson today. Went to CDC and it's like so empty.... only private cars inside the circuit.... I can only see private cars with L plate. All the school's learners are not there.... maybe it's because it's holiday today... haha...

Hmm... my lesson today was something new... I learned something called 3 directional turn... oops.. I forgot it's actual name.. LOL... been reversing most of the time today.
I was speeding and negotiating a turn at the same time... Mr Heng told me that it's too fast and he pulled up my handbrake. :( Usually instructor pull up the handbrake only when it's necessary.... but I got mine pulled up.. lol... sorry for that... :(
Other than that..... everything is fine... :)

Went to Vivocity for dinner as today is my mother's birthday. Wanted to buy a psp game but they said that the game hasn't arrive. sigh... I saw it at comics connection and it's selling for $65....

7/9 6th driving lesson

Hmm.. my driving lesson today was erm... normal? lol... didn't really manage to learn any new stuff... I am waiting to learn my parking....
Almost had an accident today because I was watching my rear view mirror and an oncoming car turned right in front of me. So I didn't notice that a car is in front of me and yet I went to depress my accelerator. Phew... Mr Heng manage to save my life by depress his brake. :D Thanks a lot.

I was on my way back taking bus 25. The bus stopped at a bus stop at Hougang ave 3 and I saw an accident.. LOL.... an Indian man was driving a van. He was trying to reverse but he knocked down a motorcycle behind him... I believe he didn't check his wing mirror for cars.. lol... fortunately, the motorists wasn't on the bike..

3/9 5th driving lesson

Hmm... my lesson today was fine... quite enjoyable.. haha... and it was quite hilarious.. haha... I will tell you why later...
Erm.... I got in my car and noticed that my fuel is running out.The needle is at E but the warning light did not appear.  So I told Mr Heng and he asked me to drive to a petrol station. So I happily drove from ubi to some unknown place. Went to shell petrol station to pump the fuel. I was asked to read a book while we were waiting. The book is about stopping and moving off in slopes. That's what I was going to learn later on. So I read everything and Mr Heng went to pay the bills. He came back and we moved off. :D

My engine didn't stall today.. haha... so happy about it... I drove to a place with steep up-slope and I practiced my slope balancing. It's quite interesting... Mr Heng taught me the 4 golden steps when moving off in slope.
Step 1) Engage gear 1.
Step 2) Depress gas till 1.5~2 rpm.
Step 3) Half clutch noticing the slight drop in your engine revolution.
Step 4) check mirrors, signal right, check blindspot and release your handbrake.

I was approaching a junction when Mr Heng told me to turn right. So I stopped my car as there are oncoming cars. The traffic light says green for straight going vehicles but the right turning arrow didn't appear. So if I want to turn, I have to be fast. So most of the oncoming cars have cleared my path but I noticed that a car was speeding quite fast and I don't know if I should turn or not.... I am not timid and I know that if I want to make this turn, I got to be brave...
But the problem is my car. My car is Honda civic and it's a really old car. My car's engine is pretty weak so I know that my car will not be faster than that oncoming car which is a new car. So being safe, I did not make the turn.
Sadly, the car behind me horned at me for delaying the turn... sigh.... today is the first time I got horned by another driver...

Erm... I came across this traffic light with slope. So it was red light and I have to stop. I was told to use the 4 steps to move off when the light turns green.
When the light turns green, I followed the 4 steps but my car rolled backwards instead. At that point in time, I seriously don't know what the hell happened...  my gas was depressed... my clutch was at the biting point... so what happened? why did my car roll backwards? I can't think that much anymore... there are cars behind me and if I continue to roll back for another 10cm, I am gonna hit that car. So I depressed my gas hard but it still rolled back. Mr Heng depressed the brake for me and I would say..... that was lucky of me... because if he didn't depress the brake, I would have hit the car behind me. Fortunately, the car behind me didn't horn at me. Mr Heng then told nicely that my gear is in Neutral... I was shocked... seriously shocked... I remembered very clearly that I did engage gear 1.... but perhaps it didn't go in. :(

I was driving back to Ubi where I pass-by this T junction. I am at the major road and I am going straight. There is this car at the minor road waiting to turn left. I saw 2 L plate signs and I knew that this driver is having his driving test now. So I slowed down and suddenly, that car came to my lane and Mr Heng was saying.... that's a lousy driving... he fail to give way... which I agree... haha... He's gonna get some points for failing to give way to cars I guess....

After that, I ended my driving lesson and here's the funny part... LOL... I was walking to CDC by the main gate. Inside CDC there is this pedestrian crossing which everyone knows of.
So I was happily walking to this pedestrian crossing and I saw a car coming. There are 2 L plate signs and I know that this car is having his driving test now also... LOL.... so I stood there watching the car and I didn't cross the zebra crossing.... I wanna wait for that car to stop for me to proceed.
The funny part is that the car did not stop... LMAO.... ROFL.... I stared at the driver and I saw the test examiner pointing at me while talking to the driver... HAHAHA... he's gonna get penalty points for failing to give way to me,as a pedestrian in the presence of a zebra crossing... lol.... I bet he's gonna fail his test.... and if he really fail because of me, I really feel bad... LOL.....

I heard a girl talking on the phone and I was right beside her... she was saying that she failed her practical test.... She said she failed to conform safety and just because of that, she got 20+ points for her test... wow.. that's serious... I mean..... if it's really true... then I bet she didn't check her mirrors, check her blindspot etc.
I believe failing to give way to pedestrian at a zebra crossing is only 10 points.
18 points is the passing mark. If you don't do any silly mistake such as not stopping when there is a stop sign, you should have high chance of passing....
Those immediate failure mistakes are the most scariest. The test examiner won't allow you to drive any further... straight away return to the test station... and you failed.

Hmm... I am really looking forward to learn parking... I hope Mr Heng can teach me perpendicular parking in my 6th or 7th driving lesson....

1/9 4th driving lesson

Today's driving lesson was erm... average? haha...
I learned slope balancing which was manageable... You really have to make sure that you are in the correct half clutch position. Over-release of clutch will make your engine stall and under-release of clutch will result in your car rolling backwards.

I learned U-turn in both left and right direction and I was told to practice U-turn in an eight shape.
Erm... went on to U-turn in a major road with lots of cars.. haha....
Hmm.. I guess I need to practice more on my reversing... sigh... my engine stalled while I was reversing today... maybe I over-released my clutch... :(

Mr Heng was very kind.. he offered me to eat some fruits. haha... while I was in that public car-park practising my U-turn, I was asked to stop the car. So I stopped it as usual and he asked me why did the car jerk when I stop?
I was blur.... I didn't notice that my car did jerk when I stopped. So he asked me to move on and stopped again... this time, I realised that my car did jerk. So he asked me the same question again and I thought about it for a sec....
I told him that perhaps.... it's because I didn't depress my brake gently?
He replied me saying that that is not the cause of the jerk.
So I moved on and I was asked to stop again. When my car was coming to a complete halt, he asked me to release my brake.... so I did and I realise that my car no longer jerks anymore... Now I know what's the reason to it.. haha...


Hmnm... my exams are coming.... next monday shall be my first paper and next thursday shall be my last paper. Haven't really touched my finance notes but I will soon...
Oh erm... I heard a weird fact from my friend yesterday. If a Singaporean lost his cell phone, he should cancel it's SIM card ability and report the case to the police... but in Korea, things aren't the same. If you lost your cell phone, you can't report to the police as they will not help you to find it. You have to either find it yourself or buy a new cell phone. It's kinda ridiculous that the police in Korea doesn't really care about those lost and found items.
