sigh.... I had lots of problem with my driving lesson today. I don't know what's wrong.. I seem to have lost all my judgment and skills. It's damn frustrating and disappointing. Maybe in the past I rely too much on the mini mirror installed on my left wing mirror. The mini mirror allows me to see my rear wheel so I will know how much space is left from my rear wheel to the left kerb. But now that the mini mirror is gone, everything feels so different.
Went to do parallel parking and I got 1 that has a slope too. So it's pretty hard to control the car because it tend to roll back. I strike kerb twice there. Perhaps all I cared about was to straighten my car. I didn't notice how much space I have left.
Went to do vertical parking and it feels so weird... in the past, I always turn too early. But now, I always turn too late. When going out of the lot, I mount kerb. I forgot that I have to wait for the kerb to be parallel to my shoulder before I can turn... sigh... where have all the skills I used to possess gone to?
My crank course seem to have deteriorated too.
There's too many things I got to improve inside the circuit and I only have 1 circuit lesson left.
My instructor taught me a convenient way to go out of the lot for parallel parking. :D Thanks.
For parallel parking, we know when to stop when we reverse because we can see the kerb through our mirror. But how do you know when to stop when you are driving forward when you can't see the front kerb at all? He asked me to go forward until my front wheel hit the kerb. He then asked me to remember this distance from my door handle to the back kerb. Now I feel so confident when I drive forward to straighten my car. I have kicked the habit of turning wheel whilst vehicle is stationary when I move out of the lot.
I forgot that I have to use the connecting and disconnecting clutch method for S and crank course. No wonder it feels wrong.
Sigh... worst of all, I think I saw Poh ah soon as a tester today. I happen to glance through the name tags of all the tester who pass-by me and I saw one with Poh ah soon. Is he the legendary guy who love to fail students? Even if he pass a student, he will never give someone a single digit demerit points. I heard most of the students passed by him got 18 points which mean just pass only.
But then my friend once told me he is a fat guy.. hmm.. the guy I saw wasn't really that fat. Nvm.. I just hope I don't kena him... he is worse than seek for sure.
I must get back all my skills before my test!!! 3 lessons left.
