Soz...had my Korean language class at 1.30pm as usual. Ended at 3pm then my mum wanted to meet me at Tampines mall at 4pm to buy chinese new year clothes for me. So I arrive there at around 3.30pm and straight away, I went to NTUC to buy my fav. So I bought Heineken and Carlsberg special brew. :o I wonder will Carlsberg special brew taste nicer than baron's? Cause the special brew is also 8.8%. When I go to the cashier to pay, she demanded me to show my IC because she say I look too young. So ok..I showed her and she took 1 min to calculate that I am born in 1991 so now is 2010....I am legal age. lol.
After that I went to Tampines 1 sake Inn to shop.. didn't buy any as they are seriously expensive. So I went to sol mart..the Korean shop and somehow..I really miss their rice wine.. It's one of the best wine I ever had. I forgot the name of the brand that I drank before in Parkway but I only know it's canned drink. I search around and couldn't find any. So I asked the staff(korean lady) whether they have canned rice wine and immediately, she tell me that I am a student....she can't sell it to me.. I was like wtf? So I told her I am legal age to buy it.Sigh... that's when she is finally willing to tell me that they don't sell it here. They sell the bigger packet one but that's not what I want. The brand is different. So I didn't buy it too.
I realise that due to import tax, foreign stuff are selling double the price. Meaning if Item A cost $10 in Korea, it will cost $20+ in Singapore.
4pm and my mum called me to wait for her at the MRT station. Oh man.. I waited till 5pm then they arrive. So went shopping in Tampines mall, T1, century square to buy my clothes.
Today I experienced several memorable moment. I saw a little boy playing at a machine..those machine that you have to insert $1 coin to play.He was around 6 or 7 years ago and guess what? I was shocked when I saw him taking out his Sony Ericsson walkman phone. I understand that in this modern world now, it's common for young kids to own a mobile phone. But do you parents out there seriously know how fucking dangerous it is to let your kid own one actually?
So I told my grandma to look at him and I said sigh...the world has changed so much...I first got my hp when I was sec 1 which means 13 years old. I was thinking that if someone snatched his hp and ran away, this poor little boy would have cried because definitely he can't run as fast as that guy and there is nothing he can do. In conclusion, parents should not give a handphone to their child at such a young age.
The 2nd memorable moment is when I was at century square, I was at a particular level and my family and I was walking to the lift but we saw accident happened. I finally understand why government say that escalator is dangerous. You know...in Singapore, escalator have those yellow borders and it says please stand inside the yellow box area. There was this little girl who didn't stand inside the yellow area and when the escalator is reaching the end, her shoe got stuck and her shoe got tear into 2 parts. It's scary to see that happening and luckily, she wasn't hurt. The escalator immediately stopped working and everyone have to walk down the escalator as if it's staircase.
